You see his 2 heart medicines they thought he became allergic to, and that caused the throat to swell up, they stopped. The problem really was not an allergy to medicine he had taken 2 years, but, well, was this pesky tumor. As it turns our he was not allergic to the heart medicine, he had, yeah, well, a tumor. So OK. The heart medicine never came back, since one of them was only spoken about as the 'high blood pressure' medicine. Turns out it helps the heart regulate rhythm too. .
OK, with all the people on the same page now, he seems back on the right road. They will decide apparently in the next day or 2 if in fact the 4 chemo treatments are enough, or if it should go the full six. From what he can eat, and how he is eating, there is no concern with the tumor size anymore. That has been a wonder. (He does have some nice swelling going on, above his belt, but this is thought to be from the appetite like a horse. His weight is coming back very nicely. On a side note, can anyone see the logic to being weighed at 3am? Yes, we needed to get him weighed the first night in the hospital, at 3am. No Joke.
For the prayers in the group, we needed the following-
That he sleep very deeply and very well every night. CHECK.
That his heart rate come down to a more stable normal level. CHECK.
That Gloria remain strong, and as resilient as she has been so far. CHECK- and then some.
Do something well, you get more to do- So lets focus in on the following:
- No Clots form from the turbulence of the blood during the hyperactivity of the heart- and the right rhythm will return.
- Blessing and favor on each of the doctors, and nurses that take care of him- they are doing a great job.
- That the rest of the family from Gloria to the kids, to the grand kids, all survive Louis and his survival. :)
Looks like out of the hospital maybe tomorrow, and in an odd twist, maybe they will decide only 4 chemo treatments is enough. If so this would put him into a 2 week break, and then 4-6 weeks of chemo+ Radiation. Then- the party.
Again if there is something you want to know that is not covered, just comment and ask...
Saw the posting and so happy Louis is doing well and the heart situation is under control. We have Louis and Gloria in our prayers ( in several languages)!! We have full trust in our faith and know he will continue to improve. Love….Gracie and Jim
