To the question- How is Louis Doing today?
Not Great. This seems to be the stage of the treatment that gives cancer treatment a bad name. Like rolling a 7 on a fully set table, the side effects of radiation are starting to not be the most fun. I mean it was not easy to this point, but still, until the last 2 weeks, we were convinced he was superman, and not the cancer, nor the treatment of said cancer was bigger than the Dog. Well, the advertisements, the reputation, even the Burma shave signs, were all right. The treatment is hard.
So we urge you, to pray. He is close to the conclusion of the treatment. Just about 2 weeks remain. From there it will take about 2 weeks until he bounces back to something resembling normal. We are finally measuring in weeks though, and that beats the unit prior, of months. in 1 week we will start measuring in days.
While no part of this has been easy on anyone, this is the 2 minute warning and we just need to run out the clock and get a first down here. He is just tired, throat sore, (yours would be too if it were put in a microwave for 2 minutes a day for a month) does not like to swallow too much now, is, on occasion too weak to hop up quickly, and he and Gloria, especially, but you know lets throw Kim in there too, could really use the lift all the prayers on this blog will bring. From when all this started, it has been the best testimony that all of you should know, how much the praying has helped him. It is quite remarkable to see all of your prayers directly converted to results before our eyes.
Today, just for fun, the Big Dog decided to have his venous access clot off. This gave all a brief scare, but they pulled the PIC line out and apparently all is well. I think we all want him to not do any more tricks, no more fun with Pic lines, no more fun with cardiac rhythms, no more allergic reactions, just be better; and soon.
So Pray, he is doing his part, and we are so greatful for all of you doing yours.

Louis & Gloria,
ReplyDeletePlease know we love you so very very much and are still praying for you. We hate it that you are having to go through this pain. We don't understand it, but we know God is still God and He loves you even more than we do. He was not caught off guard by all of this. He will bring you through it.
Love you so much!
